The Furnace is the fourth type of machine in the Machines menu. It smelts an ore to liquid. If a non-basic resource (a basic resource refers to ores produced in starter) is put into the furnace, it will output the item without smelting it. The furnace can be upgraded to smelt at a rate of 1 ore per second.

The row at the bottom shows the order of items to be processed (in this case, none) and the processing item on top of it (in this case, diamond to liquid diamond).
Assembly Line 1 Upgrades[]
It costs 10,000 dollars to build.
A furnace can operate at an electricity cost of $5 per use and smelts an item every 3 seconds.
The electricity cost can be upgraded, reducing the cost to $1 per use, while the smelting time can be upgraded, reducing it to 1 second per item.
